Always wonderful meal and overall vibe! Seated barside on a busy Labor Day weekend for lunch and some of us were in the mood for a burger (which was tasty but a bit overcooked for medium). Will try the guac and ceviche next time...it looked fantastic as it was being served next to us and was an enormous portion for sharing. The Oaxaca cocktail was delightful. The helpful dock hand did a great job managing the queue of boats and was apologizing for the wait (which wasn't very long at all)

These places make me miss my Florida upbringing. Dining on the water, fresh seafood, and immaculate vibes. This was one of my last meals on a recent trip to Florida and I couldn't have asked for a more appropriate setting. Shore Longboat Key is waterfront dining at its Florida finest. You're greeted by valet when you arrive, though you may be lucky enough to snag street parking. When you enter, you're immediately saying "wow" audibly. The restaurant is huge, but extremely modern with a gorgeous build out. Open kitchen, a bar that catches your eye, and an outdoor deck overlooking the serene waterfront views. A tropical cocktail seemed appropriate. Something with an umbrella in it. Boom, a Mai Tai sounded great and boy was it great! I had to control my urges to not consume it too quickly. Our large group ordered a robust selection of appetizers and split everything. The two I most looked forward to were the Shrimp Ceviche and Tuna Tartare. These were exceptional. Shrimp Ceviche ($19) served with guacamole and toasting cumin corn tortillas. Fresh, fresh, fresh is the main thing that comes to mind. One of the best guacs I've had in a while too. This is quintessential summer cuisine in Florida. Tuna Tartare ($19) avocado, cucumber, tobiko, wonton crisps, sriracha aioli, beet ginger vinaigrette. Beautiful presentation. The flavors were in perfect harmony with one another. The crispy wonton chips were elite. A top tier starter of a dish that I couldn't eat fast enough. When you're done eating, I implore you to walk out to the dock and soak in the peaceful views. Watch the boats, look for fish, soak in the serenity. Well done, Shore. Consider me impressed!

There is an absolutely beautiful view. It does get busy during dinner so if you want to have the best seats for the view, come early or make reservations. My husband and I shared two meals--- The burger was pretty good. The seafood salad (cant remember if it was crab or lobster) but I LOVED it. Light and tasty. Our server could have been a little better at checking on us or filling our beverages. Other than that I would recommend

This was a bit of a drive from where we were staying in Sarasota. BUT let me tell you, it was absolutely WORTH every second. One thing about me is I LOVEEEEE some boujee drinks and GOOD food, it's one of my favorite things to spend my money on actually lol. The ambiance is on the up-scale side. We dressed up for the occasion. The occasion being eating some good a** food lol. We made a reservation. When we arrived the table wasn't ready so we got expresso martinis at the bar while we waited. They were 10/10. We were seated outside right on the water. Beautiful views. Our waitress, Kennedy was phenomenal. She was amazing, so patient with all of our questions, and even gave my cousin a hair elastic to put up her hair! Lol. She gave us recommendations on the menu and the local area (because we're from out of town). Okkk so for the FOOD! Everything is ART here and all of the flavors are just bursting in your mouth one at a time with every dish. Appetizer - crab cake - soooooooo good. Freshest ingredients. Highly recommend. Main dishes - I got the scallops with lemon Risotto and sautéed spinach. YUM. My cousin got the filet mignon with brocollini and she loved it. We also got a side of mushroom truffle Mac and cheese and honestly if I could eat that everyday for the rest of my life I would be 100% satisfied it's easily the best mac and cheese I've ever had. We also ordered the specialty dessert which was chocolate cake with raspberry sauce and icecream. It was the most exquisite and flavorful dessert I've ever indulged in. I took away one star because whoever was in charge of valet parking that night was extremely unprofessional. When we pulled into the parking lot, he chased us out pretty aggressively, almost hitting us head on with the SUV he was driving. It was ridiculously unprofessional to say the least and definitely started the night off on a BAD NOTE. But the food and the staff inside made up for it all! This is a MUST try if you're in the area and want a fancy dinner!

Looking for a spectacular experience? Welp, if you dine at Shore, that's just what will happen time after time. The last time I was here was for lunch. It was very good, and our party loved everything including the views! However, my latest visit was for dinner. Celebrating my 40th Wedding Anniversary with family from out of town turned out to be perfect. We were lucky enough to have Katie as our wait staff and she really helped us get a feel for the menu. I will be requesting her station from now on. Our meals were impeccable. No doggy bags here. I had the Fried Chicken and it had the best hot sauce I've ever had. An order of the Red Snapper and Miso Grouper dish was just nothing I've seen presented so beautifully before and I have experienced a lot on LBK. Presentation is an A+ at Shore. The signature cocktails are consistent which I love. The Blood Orange Margarita you get for lunch is the same you're served for dinner. It makes a difference. Honestly I saved the best for last. Let's say you're looking for a nice spot on the water to just enjoy appetizers and drinks. Perfectly done here. No worries. Can you tell this is my favorite?! Lol Seriously, try the Calamari salad and Tuna with an icy beer. It's the best here and the road is never too long to Shore on Long Boat Key. You can even purchase a souvenir in the shop there. Valet parking but if you want there is parking on the street nearby if you're brave enough. Enjoy your special occasion or casual lunch in this great place. I know we'll be back for Shore...lol

4.5 stars- this popular venue remains a testament to LBK. The vibe is great as is the food. We caught up with a neighbor so drinks and food were important. Can't beat the views; my seafood salad was both filling and tasty. No room for dessert. Definitely worth a visit; especially if you can get to the North end of the island.

A wonderful visit This Shore location is at the north end of Longboat Key. I've always liked the drive on Longboat Key from Sarasota so I was in good spirits when we arrived. I would normally gripe about a place that does not have customer parking and only offers valet parking, but I won't. The open-air setup and the relaxing water view was wonderful. We were with friends so the conversation kept flowing, that always improves a meal. We started with a basket of Truffle Fries, plenty enough for all four of us. The truffle aroma arrived before the basket, a moment of anticipation. The photo shows four dipping sauces, it comes with two, we requested a couple more that were more for salads than for dipping. There weren't many choices on the menu and I did have trouble deciding what to order. One of our friends offered up a recommendation, their Miso Marinated Black Grouper, so that's what I ordered. Everyone else at the table ordered variations of salads, which all looked great. The plating for my grouper was also impressive. Our food arrived in about 20 minutes, about the time we ran out of fries, and we got started. My thick piece of fish was firm and had a bit of a crust from frying. I slightly noticed what I assume was the miso marinated treatment. The sticky rice cake where the fish topped was definitely sticky and went well. I particularly liked the shiitake mushrooms, too bad there were so few. Service was nonintrusive while we conversed but still provided a high level of attention when we needed it, including filling a few special requests like bringing salad toppings as dipping sauces. It was a wonderful visit, for us it was well worth the drive.
